Mask 
The Man in the Iron Mask was political prisoner famous in French history and legend. His true identity has been greatly discussed in books, because known one ever say his face, which was hidden by a mask of black velvet. He was first imprisoned at Pignerol in 1681 and later was transferred to the Bastille in Paris in 1698. He died there in 1703, held in custody of the jailer Benigne D'Auvergne.
