Bob Cutlass is an announcer for the Piston Cup races and friend of Darrell Cartrip. He is voiced byBob Costas, the renowned NBC sportscaster and journalist and his name, like Darrell Cartrip's, is a play on that of his voice actor. The character's name is a reference to the Oldsmobile Cutlass. Cutlass is actually supposed to resemble a 1999 Oldsmobile Aurora, even though the Aurora was never offered in a 2 door model. He never returned for the video game, nor Cars 2.
